Did you know? ...that once you put in a reservation and you see 'pending' on the calendar, your event is SECURE. The approval process might be delayed because of other demands. But as long as you got an email indicating the EECS Rooms calendar got your request, you are in!

Please note:
Grier A, 34-401A, has an East-facing chair setup for its default setup. Because of this arrangement, there is room enough (Grier A only) for 60 chairs--adding one additional row of 10 chairs--with a five (5) foot middle aisle. This means two sections of 30 chairs will be arranged facing East (towards the Stata Center) with six rows of five chairs each. See rules of use: http://eecscal.mit.edu/RoomUseGuidelines.aspx

Please note:
The default seating arrangement for Grier B will continue to face South (toward the Charles River) with fifty chairs arranged in two columns, five chairs per row - five rows, and a central aisle of no less than 5 feet. The seven sectional tables and 14 arm chairs should remain at the front of the room--leaving six feet from the wall to the chairs and six feet from the front row of 50 chairs. East Facing Seminar (MIT Movers or pre-approved help required)

Please note:
Each Grier Room is equipped with an overhead lcd projector. The sound system will allow for use of microphones, which you may reserve with <a href="http://web.mit.edu/av/www/contact.htm">MIT Audio Visual</a> (3-2808 in MIT room 4-017).
All users of the Griers should hire the MIT Movers for setups/resets. Submit requisition via SAPweb 'Event Setup' (http://web.mit.edu/sapweb/PS1/facilities_home.shtml) no later than 10 days in advance. Hardcopies of the requisition and layout diagram should be sent to the MIT Movers and to EECS/attn. Patsy Sampson, 38-409G.
If you intend to set up (and reset) without the MIT Movers also let us know by sending a hard copy print out of your intended layout. Email: eecsrooms@eecs.mit.edu and send the layout to 38-409G, attn. Patsy Sampson.
Final note: the seven sectional tables and arm chairs in each Grier are designed to be moved in the Griers only. DO NOT REMOVE from the Griers! See rules of use: http://eecscal.mit.edu/RoomUseGuidelines.aspx

Please note:
Jackson Room is MIT Room 38-466--for EECS use only. There are 16 chairs for seating around the central table. There is seating around the room perimeter for another 8. A side credenza holds food for serving with protective table cloths in the lower cupboard/drawers for the table.(Please take care of the new table--use extra thicknesses of paper when writing; avoid scraping it). All trash should be bagged, and the tied bag taken to the foyer outside Grier B, 34-401B, for pick up.

Please note:
This main conference room for EECS headquarters, just within the main entrance at 38-401, is used primarily for the Department Heads and staff of EECS. The room includes seating for ten only. There is an overhead lcd projector and a white board. The room is adjacent to a kitchen.
